Residential Care

Pathfinders offers a safe, comfortable, and inviting atmosphere, providing residents with the tools to experience a life without the need for drugs or alcohol. Each person is supported by an individual counselor and case manager. Our staff are guided by a personal desire to help improve the lives of each of our residents. This is achieved by collaboratively working with each resident, identifying the unique situation of every person.

In our 24-hour fully-staffed and supervised program, participants enjoy individualized residential treatment programs comprised of:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy – Psychotherapeutic treatment that helps people learn how to identify and change destructive thought patterns that have a negative influence on behavior and emotions.

Motivational Interviewing – An evidence-based treatment used by providers all around the world to explore participants’ ambivalence, enhance motivation and commitment for change, and support the person’s autonomy to change. The approach allows participants to identify their reasons for change based on their own values and interests.

Individual Counseling – Every resident receives one-on-one counseling sessions, allowing the counselor to be very thorough in understanding the specific needs of the participant and in developing an individualized approach to providing the most effective level of care.

Group Counseling – Group therapy assures individuals that they are not alone and that others share similar challenges and struggles. It offers the opportunity to both receive support from others and to give support. Group therapy allows individuals to develop self-awareness by listening and being able to relate to fellow participants.

Relapse Prevention – An evidenced-based, 6-week curriculum, that allows the resident to analyze his drinking and using patterns, and to learn, practice, and enlarge their coping strategies.

Case Management – A process to plan, seek, advocate for, and monitor services from different social services or healthcare organizations on behalf of our residents.
